La Fonera is a nice router. Small, open, white... and with ugly green leds on the front. Really bad ! Fonera with white or blue leds may be too expensive to product but nicer. Let's correct the problem. Here is La Fonera with white leds.

 

Leds changing on La Fonera need patience and focusing. Leds are CMS devices, so you need very small fingers :

 

Leds here are Osram LWY87C from ebay. First step is to to unsolder green leds carrefully :

 

Then, clean the circuit to put the new ones :

 

The white mark is ground. To solder a new led, put a little dot of glue and wait to make sure it will not move when soldering. Then solder carrefully. Let's power up La Fonera and hope we don't confuse polarity :

Now we have a nice router with a new smart design.
