This script is designed to create logos that's look like... hmmm.... logos. It use a technic taken from one of my article for Linux Magazine France (the article is available on the website too (in french).

Here are some samples (clic to get larger view).

The Script-Fu can make logos from text and from Alpha (like other logo scripts). So you will find a Bumpy entry in Script-Fu->Alpha to Logo.

The generated image can be easily changed because of all layers are present (map layer for bumpmap). For best results you must use a very bold font like Blippo and a light color for the text or shape (Alpha).

Get the Script-Fu bumpy.scm and install (under GNU/Linux) with :

gimptool --install-script bumpy.scm

Under MS Windows, see documentation (RTFM). I don't use this operating system since 5 or 6 years but i hope that's the installation must not be so difficult. Don't you know ?
