BIG NEWS ! Script-Fu updated for the Gimp 2.4 : aquabou.scm.

The Aquabou Perl-Fu is dead. The Aquabou Script-Fu is born.

I have translated and updated Perl-Fu to a new Scheme Script-Fu to work with The Gimp 2.0/2.2. At this time the new script has been enhanced to get width of the button as argument. This is the first step to enhance the script in the futur (full size customization, adding text, create a button from Alpha and much more planned).

It create an «aqua» button. The technique used is taked from the official Adobe Photoshop 6(tm) tutorial about Aqua button.
The image produced by the Script-Fu is easy to adapt, scale and change.

My Script-Fu take two colors as arguments (button color and background color) plus width of the button (new).
You can see somes samples of the script output on this page (clic on the image to make it bigger).

For best results, choose color with 60 of saturation and 70 of value (a good thing is to just change the Hue from the default color).

Main difference between old (Perl and Gimp 2.0) and new (Scheme and Gimp 2.0/2.2) is the translation from Perl to Scheme. This make the script work under Windows and Mac (not tested).
